Driving Cape Breton to the Inverness Textile Festival

I hope some of you were able to check out the Textile Festival in Inverness this month. It is was an  incredible show and I really wanted to show you all some of the work but we weren't allowed to take pics so you'll just have to take my word on it. I felt very lucky to have a exhibit of this caliber shown locally and quite proud to be part of it. The facility at the Inverness Center is really a wonderful place as well.

And if you're going to drive around Cape Breton during the month of October than you're going to enjoy the views of rolling hills full of the fall colors.

And of course you can't go to Inverness without checking out Inverness Beach, even on an October day it's a beautiful place to be. Though there was no one swimming of course there were a few beach combers looking for the elusive beach glass.

The beach is 2 miles long and a wonderful place to spend some time staring out at the wide expanse of ocean

How amazing. I have always wanted to go to Cape Breton, for the music as well as teh scenery.
Its very confusing:first I thought 'Sydney? You must be Australian' then 'Inverness placed you in Scotland, and finally I red Cape Breton. I used to read a blog called 'Adventures in Cape Breton' by a woman who was having a year there to research the music.

That's so funny , the progression you made to get to Cape Breton. Both Australia and Scotland are places I've always dreamed of going and you want to come to Cape Breton, the world is a funny little place. :)
While I have your ear I want to say that I LOVE your work and I enjoy checking out your blog to see what's new.
